🎶🎶The Rondalla de Calp took part in a musical twinning trip this weekend, from September 24 to 26, travelling to Liérganes (Cantabria) and Barakaldo (Bizkaia), where it performed two concerts and shared the stage and experiences with musical groups from both towns. 👉The first stop was on Friday in Liérganes, where the rondalla took part in the 6th Liérganes Choral Gathering 2026, held at the A. de la Cantolla Civic Centre under the motto “Voices that bring places together.” Alongside the Calp ensemble, the Liérganes Polyphonic Choir, conducted by Valeriano Labrador, and the Virgen del Carmen Choir from Castro-Urdiales, conducted by Borja Quintana, also performed. Different groups, but united by the same passion for music. 👉The second stop was Barakaldo, where on Saturday the Rondalla de Calp shared a concert at the CIS Barakaldo with the Amigos de la Guitarra ensemble (Barakaldoko Gitarraren Lagunak), conducted by Pablo Lara.
👉 From October 2nd to 5th, the Alicante Gastronomic Fair will take place. Calp will be participating with its own stand featuring local products, as well as two showcookings in the “Saborea Costa Blanca” area. 👉 This year, as a new initiative, Calp Town Council is offering free trips to the fair from Calp on Saturday, October 3rd, and Sunday, October 4th. Those interested in taking part in the trips, which include transportation and admission to the fair, can register through the Calp Town Council’s Business Portal.
