DESCRIPTION:🇪🇺 El concejal del Ayuntamiento de Calp Marco Bittner participó la semana pasada en Bruselas\, como ponente en la mesa redonda “Carnivorous Aquaculture: Eating up the Ocean\, Threatening Food Security”\, celebrada en la sede del Parlamento Europeo en el marco de la Ocean Week 2026. Bittner fue la única representación de una administración local\, compartiendo mesa con la eurodiputada Emma Fourreau\, la diputada francesa Anne Stambach-Terrenoir y la investigadora Marine Cusa.\n🐟 Durante su intervención presentó a Calp como un municipio con cien años de tradición turística y una relación centenaria con el mar\, y alertó de que la ampliación autorizada de la piscifactoría situada frente a sus costas multiplica por catorce su capacidad inicial\, hasta alcanzar las 45 jaulas y las 3.000 toneladas anuales. Aportó datos del informe de vigilancia ambiental de 2024 y citó un estudio de la Universidad de Alicante que estima unas pérdidas potenciales para la economía local de entre 83 y 911 millones de euros en diez años.

DESCRIPTION:🏆 The 11th Open-Air Painting Competition\, organized by Calp Town Council\, took place last Saturday\, October 3rd\, in the town’s Historic Center with 41 artists participating: 20 in the adult category\, 13 in the children’s category\, and 8 in the youth category.\nUnder the theme “Historic Center of Calp\, its streets\, corners\, and landscapes\,” participants spread across different locations in the old town\, creating works exclusively during the day of the competition.\n🖌️ Adult category: first prize to Carlos Montero Gil (€1\,200)\, second to Jessica González Prados (€700)\, and third to Sergio Rocafort Giménez (€500).\n🎨 Children’s category: first prize to Valeria Cheosa (€175)\, second to Kseniia Federova (€100)\, and third to Mykhailo Trukhachev (€75). The prize for the best local child artist went to Mario Cano Martínez (€75).\n✏️ Youth category: first prize to Nika Shulga (€200)\, second to Kai Lin Chen (€125)\, and third to María Vlasyuk (€100).
