Closed to swimming a section of Arenal-Bol beach
3 July

▶️ The Calp Town Hall, following the guidelines of the Regional Ministry of Environment, has closed a section of the Arenal-Bol beach for swimming due to a possible contamination incident of residual origin. The closed section affects the mouth of the Quisi ravine.
▶️ Therefore, the area has been cordoned off and a sand barrier will be created at the mouth of the Quisi ravine to prevent more water from reaching the sea.
▶️ Swimming in this area has been prohibited by raising the red flag and lowering the Blue Flag, which will not be raised again until the results of the analyses are available. All these preventive measures will remain in place until the new samplings and analyses from the Regional Ministry are known, possibly tomorrow, as long as they confirm that the beach is safe for swimming.
