🚵♂️ Calp prepares to host a top-tier international mountain biking event 🌍

The Mayor of Calp, Ana Sala, and the Councilor for Tourism, Mireia Ripoll, held a meeting with Gerhard Vanzsi, representative of the HERO Costa Blanca Calpe-Benissa race. This event will kick off the HERO UCI Marathon World Cup 2026 on February 21st, 2026.
The competition will start in Calp and cover the natural surroundings of Benissa and the Sierra de Bèrnia, featuring an 82 km route with an elevation gain of 2,700 meters.
This event will place Calp on the international mountain biking stage, strengthening its position as a year-round cycling destination thanks to its mild winter climate and a privileged natural environment that attracts cyclists from all over the world.
